Busy summer for GWS Printing Systems
The Dutch supplier of used printing equipment and press upgrades announces an increase of activities both in web offset and sheetfed sales. “We are pleased with the fact that despite the worldwide economical crisis and down turn in the graphic industry we have been in the position to meet all our targets” according to Eric van Kessel, Commercial Director at GWS Printing Systems.
Amongst other projects GWS announces the sales of a Solna D300 newspaper press to Attounisia in Tunis, a press extension and press upgrade to Marseillaise in Marseille, France and the sale of a Goss M600, 16 page commercial press to Cartoon in Argentina.
"The increase of projects during the Summer confirms our philosophy and company mission to be a leading supplier in quality used equipment including the services for professional project management, press removal, equipment reconditioning and equipment upgrades", according to Managing Director Walter Donkers.
The Rockwell Tribune press extension components for La Marseillaise are currently in process in the GWS facilities which incorporates reconditioning, upgrading and the complete manufacturing of a GWS shaftless infeed device.
The reconditioning activities of the Goss M600 for Cartoon in Argentina have now been started, the press will be shipped out of Waalwijk in January 2012.
The GWS installation and service teams have been active this summer in New Zealand, participating in the installation and supervision of a KBA C618 installation, the installation of the MAN Uniset 60 newspaper press for Galeati in Italy, the installation of a Clauberg book press for Gopsons in India and furthermore the Wifag newspaper press installation for Copesa in Santiago de Chile is still in full swing.
The management of Diario de Tarragona of Spain contracted GWS Printing Systems to perform a press upgrade to their current Harris N845A newspaper press. This project will be carried out in two phases whereby the first phase has been completed. The second phase including exchange of plate lock up systems and angle gear sets will be commenced during the second half of this year.
GWS Printing Systems will be present during the upcoming IFRA exhibition in Vienna in hall B, stand number 920.
